Sooo... This is my first post. I took a test on cpi.cognitiveprofile.com, and I got the result of the NF learner. The NF, or intuitive feeler, is the creative learner. It's one of the least logical learners, and is sometimes at risk for not completing schooling. NF learners are inventive and like finding links and comparing items to make learning easier. For example, "How is an internal combustion engine like a rock band?" It has to do with sound and energy, helping an NF learner learn about combustion engines. NF learners are also sometimes described as "out there" or "marching to a different drummer." They learn best by seeing the whole picture at the beginning before getting into the nitty gritty details of the object being learned about.
I've tried the chapter summary concept described in the cognitive profile website before, trying to get the whole picture before diving into the details, but it does not seem to work the best for me. Relating one concept to an abstract or similar concept, though, seems to work well for me usually. However, next time I need to study I will try the color technique. Writing out notes or equations in one color pen or pencil, then trace over the notes in a variety of other colors and pens so next time I try to recall what was learned in a test, I will "see" what was in those millions of colors.
